Every month we profile an upcoming event in the United States that revolves around web, design, and advertising, and this month we’re talking about Web Design Day in Pittsburgh, PA. Web Design Day is exactly how it is described: a day of speakers that focus on all things web design. This year, there seems to be a particular focus on responsive design with Aaron Gustafson of Easy Designs kicking off the event a day early with a workshop entitled “Beyond Responsive”. In the next couple of days, we’ll be talking about mobile web design trends with a particular focus on responsive web design so look out for that, but if you happen to be in Pittsburgh, pop over for either the workshop, conference, or both.
Other speakers include Yesenia Perez-Cruz from Intuitive Company and Ethan Marcotte, who has done phenomenal work in the past as well as co-founding Editorially, a cool platform that shut it’s doors not too long ago before being picked up by Vox Media. All of the speakers have great background in not only web design, but specifically in implementing smart responsive solutions for their clients.
Tickets are still on sale, ranging from $215 for the conference only, all the way up to $499 for both the conference and the workshop. It will be taking place at The New Hazlett Theater, a super-cool venue that was the first Carnegie Music Hall. I visited Pittsburgh not too long ago, so I picked up some interesting bits of trivia – I finally found a place to use that one.
